NPF: Viral ‘Wanted’ Image of Iyabo Ojo is Fake

The Nigeria Police Force has disowned a Wanted Person Bulletin circulating on social media, which claimed that popular Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, was declared wanted by the Inspector-General of Police Monitoring Unit.

In a statement issued on Thursday, tagged “Clarification on Police Gazette Bulletin of Wanted Person,” the Force Headquarters described the publication as fake and unofficial, stressing that it did not originate from the police

The police warned members of the public against falling for such misinformation, urging Nigerians to always verify sensitive security information from official police channels before sharing.

The statement reads; “The Nigeria Police Force wishes to clarify that the recent Wanted Person Bulletin circulating about stating that the Nollywood Actress, Iyabo Ojo is wanted by the Office of The IGP Monitoring Unit is NOT an official communication from the Force.

“The Nigeria Police Force urges members of the public to verify information through official channels and be cautious of misinformation.

The fake bulletin that Iyabo Ojo is wanted, which went viral across various platforms, had sparked outrage and confusion, with many questioning its authenticity.

This clarification comes amid growing concerns over the use of forged documents and fake press statements to smear public figures and mislead the public.

Peter Obi Dismisses Trending Fake Son’s Photo

Oseloka, the son of the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi, has caused a stir on social media following a viral photo with British–Nigerian queer Kent Okwesa.

In the photos that have been a growing sensation on social media, Oseloka is seen in different settings having a special dinner date with Okwesa.

The duo was seen posing happily in another photo.

Super Falcons: Pay Us in Dollars not Naira

Speculations circulating in the media has it that, Super Falcons outrightly rejected their camp allowances of about $30,000 per player in Naira equivalent.

Sports analyst Aron clarified the situation on Arise TV.

According to him, the players were offered their allowances in Naira, but insisted on being paid in dollars.

“The part of the story they are not telling is that these girls were given the money,” Aron said.

“From the grapevine, the NFF proposed paying their total bonuses and camp allowances of $30,000 in Naira at the exchange rate of N1,530. The players refused, saying, ‘We don’t play in Nigeria. What do we want to do in Naira?’”

“So, the fact that they were not paid immediately is not the fault of the NFF,” Aron emphasized.

“Government directives were followed. The NSC sent the money to the NFF. The players refused Naira. It’s kind of embarrassing if you ask me.”

We’re still digging to find what is going on… Stay tuned 🏃🏿‍♂️

Arsenal With a New Game Style

One things for sure, with that game yesterday. I’m seeing a different style, trying to play transitions more centrally, trying to accommodate Gyökeres. We’re more direct in our approach.

We’re new to this style and it’s gonna take a couple of games or more to get it right, we still managed to win yesterday despite the bad performance which is a good thing! Even Saka had a poor game by his standards yesterday which further reiterates the point.

Gyökeres is very physical and I’ve seen glimpses of what he can bring us when he starts firing.

To add to that some of our players hasnt really had a full pre-season, they’re gonna take some more training sessions to be fully fit. Have some patience gooners, I’m confident that it’ll workout.

Rashford debut as Barcelona thrash Mallorca 3-0 away

Former Manchester United out-of-favour striker Marcus Rashford made his debut as Barcelona thrashed nine-man Mallorca 3-0 in their La Liga 2025/26 season opener.

Rashford came on in the 69th minute for his Barcelona debut, as the Catalan side began their title defence with a firm statement.

Rashford, who is on a season-long loan from ManU, became the first English player to feature for the first team in a competitive game since Gary Lineker in 1989.

The 27-year-old played as a centre-forward but did not have any chances to score .Raphinha nodded in the opener following a fine right-wing cross from Lamine Yamal.

Ferran Torres smashed in their second goal, while Mallorca captain Antonio Raillo was lying on the ground in the box with a head injury after blocking a Yamal shot.

And Vedat Muriqi was sent off for a high boot on debutant Barcelona goalkeeper Joan Garcia, a decision upgraded from a yellow card after a video assistant referee (VAR) review.

It took Barcelona 60 minutes, including stoppage time, to score past the nine men, Yamal hammering in their third goal with almost the last kick.

“Why MASA Isonyin Marathon (MIM)?”- Muideen Adegboyega Salami, Phd

MIM is a youth development programme designed to discover and develop local talents, especially in Ijebu North East Local Government and Ogun State generally, and expose them to the national and international sports’ arena.

I initiated MIM to promote positive outcomes, grow positive relationships among youth, and provide opportunities to build world-class talents.

MIM is a platform designed to offer upcoming long-distance runners the opportunities to run, learn, and grow by interacting with professional runners – inspiring them to identify their potential and achieve their dreams.

MIM is a means to enhance endurance, physical fitness, and good health and reduce idleness and anti-social behavior in youth.

Our youth needs adequate stamina to withstand the Alps and obstacles in their competitive world.

The program would inculcate a good attitude towards physical fitness, promote good health in our youth, and create an avenue to engage their youthful exuberant.

MIM will encourage and build the “spirit of good sportsmanship” among our youth – a phenomenon that is entirely lacking in our political class. Isonyin – the “land of honey” and venue of this event, is a source of inspiration to many people, including my humble self. This event, which will become an annual event, is a means of giving back to my community, promoting Isonyin, and providing enjoyment and entertainment, especially during the Easter period.
