Nigerian comedian Mazi Okeke has shared fresh details about the painful betrayal that ended his engagement, revealing the reason his former fiancée allegedly gave after he caught her cheating with his driver.

Speaking in a recent video, the comedian revealed that he unexpectedly returned from a work trip and caught his fiancée with his driver, describing the discovery as one of the most painful moments of his life.

In his words, he said:

“This is how I discovered my fiancée was cheating with my driver. I was coming back from site that day. I caught them. What broke me was when I asked her why.”

According to Mazi Okeke, his former fiancée claimed his demanding work schedule left her feeling neglected, saying he spent more time travelling than being with her.

He further disclosed that she compared him to her ex, whom she described as someone who was always around, adding that the affair allegedly began while he spent a month in China sourcing items for his company.

“She said, ‘You are too busy. You’re always travelling from one state to another. My ex was always with me, but are never around. You should cut down on your dreams because you don’t give me attention.’ It all started when I went to China for one month. What baffles me is that there’s no remorse. She said she couldn’t cope.”

In a previous reported by Gistreel, the comedian alleged that his former fiancée cheated on him despite the significant financial and personal sacrifices he made throughout their relationship.

His latest revelation has since sparked mixed reactions online, with many social media users debating whether a demanding career can ever justify infidelity in a relationship.

Super Falcons Suffered 2-1 defeat To Malawi

Nigeria’s Super Falcons suffered a disappointing 3-2 defeat to Malawi in their opening match of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. The result came as a major upset, with the ten-time African champions letting a hard-fought contest slip away despite their late efforts to stage a comeback.

The match remained evenly balanced until the final stages when Malawi took control through the Chawinga sisters. Rasheedat Ajibade converted a penalty in stoppage time to give Nigeria hope, but Temwa Chawinga struck again in the 95th minute to restore Malawi’s two-goal cushion. Uchenna Kanu found the net in the 98th minute, but her goal only served as a consolation as Malawi held on to secure a famous 3-2 victory.

While there were individual mistakes on the pitch, one of the biggest talking points was head coach Justine Madugu’s tactical decisions.

The most questionable was deploying Michelle Alozie at left-back instead of her natural right-back position. Alozie has consistently excelled on the right side for both club and country, where her pace, defensive awareness and attacking runs make her one of Nigeria’s most dependable players.

Playing her on the left appeared to work in Malawi’s favour. The Scorchers repeatedly attacked down that flank, exploiting the spaces and forcing Nigeria into difficult defensive situations. With Alozie operating out of position, the Super Falcons struggled to contain Malawi’s dangerous attacks, especially during the decisive moments of the game.

Madugu’s substitutions also came under scrutiny. Payne was introduced in an attempt to change the game but failed to make the desired impact. 

More importantly, the coach delayed making further changes despite clear signs that Nigeria needed fresh legs and a tactical reshuffle. By the time additional substitutions were made, Malawi had already gained momentum and looked comfortable protecting their lead.

Although the players must share responsibility for the defeat, the decision to play Michelle Alozie out of position, combined with the coach’s slow response from the bench, proved costly.

Against a confident Malawi side that punished every defensive lapse, those tactical choices played a significant role in the Super Falcons’ disappointing start to their campaign.

Henry, who featured in Arsenal’s only other final appearance in 2006, in which they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Barcelona, believes it is important this year’s vintage accept their position against Luis Enrique’s side.

“We’re not in a position to pick and choose. We’re not at the level of those guys yet so you’ve got to be humble with it,” Henry told CBS Sports.

“Hopefully we go there and be brave but we have to beat and battle against the champions so it won’t be easy, we know that.

I’m so happy that we’re in the final. We’ll see where we get against that team because that’s an outstanding team. You’ve got to stay in your lane…It’s going to be difficult. We didn’t concede a lot of goals, that counts for something, but Paris Saint-Germain have the experience of knowing what it is to win it.”
Henry, who later won the Champions League with Barca in 2009, added: “I woke up with a smile, they are about to do something that I couldn’t do myself.

“You want your team to win. I didn’t experience it as a player, the second thing I can experience it as is a fan. Hopefully it is going to happen.

“We’ve been pretty resilient, difficult to score against. We don’t over-create but when we do create, we end up putting the ball in the net.”
