Ned Nwoko debunked a new relationship with a young lady

Billionaire politician and senator, Ned Nwoko, has debunked circulating reports claiming he has moved on with a younger woman amid an alleged marital crisis with his sixth wife, Regina Daniels.

As earlier reported by eelive.ng, speculation began spreading rapidly across social media after a video surfaced showing the 64-year-old senator in the company of an unidentified young woman during a recent public gathering. The clip quickly fueled rumors that Nwoko had found a new partner.

However, reacting via his Instagram page, the lawmaker dismissed the claims as false and misleading.

“A video recently brought to my attention shows a young woman who visited with her team under the Peace Ambassadors initiative, led by Ambassador Dr. Adejo Sule. Unfortunately, this clip is now being circulated online with false claims attempting to link me romantically with her,” Nwoko clarified.

Ned Nwoko

He further expressed disappointment over how social media users often twist harmless situations for attention and misinformation.

“During the visit, photographs were taken with members of the delegation, as is customary whenever I receive guests. This is not unusual  even in public places or events, people often request pictures with me, and I oblige. It is therefore mischievous and malicious for anyone to exploit such gestures to fabricate false narratives,” he said.

The senator emphasised that he has no personal or private relationship with the woman in question, describing the viral reports as completely baseless.

Nwoko also issued a stern warning to individuals, groups, and media outlets propagating the false story, reminding them that the Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act, 2015 remains in effect and would be applied against anyone found guilty of spreading defamation or misinformation online.

“Let me state clearly and unequivocally that the news being propagated around her visit is entirely false. Any further spread of this fabricated narrative will attract appropriate legal action,” he warned.

Breaking: Several Injury As Police Attack #FreeNmadiKanu Protesters

A peaceful protest calling for the release of detained Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, turned violent on Monday after security operatives fired tear gas canisters at demonstrators led by human rights activist Omoyele Sowore in the Maitama and Transcorp Hilton areas of Abuja.

The protesters, including clergymen, members of civil society groups, and pro-democracy activists, had gathered under the banner of the #FreeNnamdiKanuNow movement to demand Kanu’s immediate release in compliance with a 2022 Court of Appeal judgment.

Eyewitnesses said the protesters had barely begun chanting solidarity songs when heavily armed police officers and soldiers moved in, firing multiple rounds of tear gas to disperse the crowd.

“There were no violent acts; people were only singing and holding placards when the police suddenly started shooting tear gas,” an eyewitness told Politics Nigeria. “Many people were injured, and even passersby were affected by the fumes.”

The protest, which began around the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) headquarters in Maitama before spreading towards the Transcorp Hilton area, quickly descended into chaos as security personnel sealed off adjoining streets and fired indiscriminately.

Videos from the scene showed protesters and commuters scampering for safety as thick plumes of smoke filled the air. Some journalists covering the protest were reportedly manhandled, while several protesters sustained injuries.

Security sources confirmed that the operation was a joint effort by the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Nigerian Army. The security agencies had, on Sunday, issued warnings cautioning demonstrators against marching toward restricted areas such as the Presidential Villa, Eagle Square, and the Three Arms Zone.

Despite the warnings, Sowore and other organisers vowed to go ahead with the protest, accusing the government of violating court orders and suppressing lawful dissent.

“We are here to demand the release of Nnamdi Kanu, whose continued detention is in defiance of valid court judgments,” Sowore said moments before the police crackdown. “Instead of respecting the rule of law, they’ve chosen brutality and intimidation.”

Barrister Njoku Jude Njoku, a member of the Nnamdi Kanu Defence Consortium, condemned the police action and reiterated that Kanu’s detention remained illegal.

In a statement titled “#ReleaseNnamdiKanu – The Law Is Clear!”, Njoku said:

“Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s detention isn’t just unlawful—it’s a national embarrassment. The government is disobeying its own courts and violating the Constitution. The Court of Appeal discharged and acquitted him in October 2022. That judgment stands, yet he remains in custody. This is pure contempt.”

He further accused the Supreme Court of “twisting justice” by reversing the appellate decision, describing the move as a breach of Section 36(9) of the Nigerian Constitution, which prohibits double jeopardy.

“You cannot try a man twice for the same offence,” he added. “They are even using a repealed version of the Terrorism Act to continue his trial. It’s unlawful and morally indefensible.”

Meanwhile, heavy security presence remains around strategic parts of the Federal Capital Territory, including Eagle Square, Unity Fountain, Federal Secretariat, and the approach roads to Aso Rock.

Senator Ned Nwoko accuses Regina Daniels of Drug Abuse

Senator Ned Nwoko has accused his actress wife, Regina Daniels, of engaging in drug and alcohol abuse, alleging that her actions have led to violence and destruction in their home.

The lawmaker made the claims in a Facebook post on Sunday titled “REGINA’S UNPROVOKED CARNAGE AND RAMPAGE IN MY HOUSE AND IN MY ABSENCE.”

According to Nwoko, Regina’s alleged struggle with substance abuse is the root of their marital problems.

He stated that she must continue her rehabilitation program either in Asokoro or abroad, particularly in Jordan, where he believes she would not have access to drugs.

The senator expressed fear for her safety if she failed to continue treatment, saying her current environment allows “unrestricted access to drugs.”

Nwoko further alleged that Regina had recently assaulted three members of his staff and destroyed property, including vehicles and windows, without provocation.

He claimed that while he took their son, Moon, to the hospital, chaos erupted at home, allegedly instigated by one of Regina’s supposed drug suppliers. He also accused her of threatening to kill a resident nurse for revealing her drug use.

The post read: “REGINA’S UNPROVOKED CARNAGE AND RAMPAGE IN MY HOUSE AND IN MY ABSENCE,” Nwoko said: “Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. She must continue her rehabilitation program, or I fear for her life and safety. Now she has moved to a place where she will have unrestricted access to drugs. I have other wives, and none will ever accuse me of violence. Regina is the violent one here, slapping and hitting 3 staff in the past 48 hours and destroying property, including cars and windows, for no just cause. The truth is, I have set a clear condition for her to accept rehab in Asokoro or outside Nigeria especially Jordan where she will not have access to drugs. A clear headed regina would have taken moon to the hospital but instead she even threatened to kill our resident nurse(for exposing her drugs abuse). While I took Moon to the hospital, a scene of chaos unfolded at home, orchestrated by Sammy, Regina’s main drug supplier. Another known supplier of drugs to Regina is the tiny evil devil called Ann.”

SFAcademy Will produce more Sensational Talents: Ibukun Simon

Mrs. Ibukun Simon, wife of Super Eagles winger Moses Simon and Chief Executive Officer of Simoiben Football Academy, has vowed that her football institution will continue to groom exceptional talents capable of shining on the world stage, just like Nigeria’s emerging defensive sensation, Benjamin Fredrick.

According to a report by Own Goal Nigeria on Friday, October 17, 2025, Mrs. Simon made the pledge while reflecting on the academy’s achievements and the remarkable rise of Fredrick one of its most successful graduates. She stated that Simoiben Football Academy remains committed to discovering, nurturing, and developing future stars who will not only represent Nigeria but also compete at the highest levels of international football.

Fredrick’s story has become one of Nigerian football’s most inspiring success tales in recent years. The 19-year-old defender, who joined Simoiben Academy at the age of 10, rose through the ranks under the mentorship and guidance of the academy’s coaching staff before securing a move to the English Premier League side Brentford. He is currently on loan at FC Dender in Belgium, where he continues to impress with his composure, versatility, and tactical intelligence.

Fredrick’s consistent performances at both club and national levels have earned him recognition as one of Nigeria’s brightest young prospects. Whether deployed as a centre-back or right-back, his strength, positioning, and ability to read the game have drawn comparisons to top European defenders.

Speaking about his journey, Mrs. Simon expressed immense pride in his development and said his progress serves as motivation for other players coming through the ranks at Simoiben Football Academy.

“We have some of the best young players in Nigeria, and many more will likely follow in the footsteps of Fredrick or even better,” she said.

She further highlighted that the academy’s philosophy focuses not only on football skills but also on discipline, education, and character building key attributes she believes are essential for long-term success.

“It’s not just about producing footballers; it’s about producing role models who can represent Nigeria positively anywhere they go,” she explained.

Mrs. Simon also mentioned other promising graduates making waves in Europe, including Emmanuel Michael, who currently plays for LASK Linz in Austria. She noted that Michael’s steady progress is another testament to the academy’s commitment to quality and excellence.

“There is Emmanuel Michael at LASK in Austria as well. The idea is to help as many talented young footballers to achieve their dreams,” she concluded.

The Simoiben Football Academy, founded by Moses and Ibukun Simon, has in recent years gained recognition as one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing youth football development centres

.Based in Benin City, Edo State, the academy focuses on identifying raw talents from grassroots communities and providing them with access to structured training programs, international exposure, and mentorship opportunities.

Football analysts have praised the academy for its contribution to grassroots football development in Nigeria, noting that its success stories could inspire other professional players to invest in similar initiatives. With the rise of players like Fredrick, the academy has become a symbol of hope for thousands of aspiring footballers across the country.

Sports observers believe that initiatives like Simoiben Academy could play a major role in reducing Nigeria’s reliance on foreign-born players by developing homegrown talents who can compete globally.

As Mrs. Simon continues to push her academy’s vision forward, she remains confident that the next generation of Nigerian football stars is already emerging from their ranks.

“Our goal is simple to keep producing stars who will represent Nigeria with pride and excellence,” she said with conviction.

Natasha Akpoti : I was not Allowed To Speak

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, expressed that she was not allowed to contribute during the screening of Professor Joash Ojo Amupitan, who was approved as the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

She shared this information on Thursday during a live session on Facebook, providing updates to Nigerians and her constituents about the developments in the Red Chamber.

“I raised my hand, but I was not selected to speak. It’s understandable as the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has the prerogative to choose who speaks. All I wanted to say was that I was impressed with Professor Joash Ojo Amupitan’s credentials. His resume was quite impressive, contrary to the information circulating on social media. Also, this is the first time an indigene of Kogi State has been nominated as the INEC Chairman.”

Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan further highlighted that Professor Amupitan stated his intention to deploy electronic methods, particularly drones, to monitor the elections in 2027.

“The mention of drones caught my attention because, three months ago, while we were illegally suspended, we facilitated the training of 80 individuals in the use of drones, and we provided each of them with DGI drones. The DGI drones are among the best in the world. We appreciate that he is considering using drones for election monitoring, and Kogi Central is ready to provide the list of these 80 individuals so they can partner with the Police Force or INEC.”

Using the September 12, 2025, elections in Nepal, which utilised the Discord application as a reference, Senator Natasha inquired whether it would be better for Nigerians to vote from the comfort of their homes using their National Identification Number (NIN), voter’s card, or Bank Verification Number (BVN) for verification. She argued that this approach would mitigate the risks associated with insecurity and the deployment of election materials to rural areas that endanger lives. She emphasised that embracing technology could also help reduce the high costs of elections, allowing saved funds to be redirected towards healthcare, infrastructure, and other pressing needs for the populace.

“If Nigerians can vote for Big Brother and their votes are protected, we can also implement what Rwanda and other African nations have done. The advantage of going digital is that it would allow Nigerians in the diaspora to participate in voting. Wherever Nigerians are, they can be accredited using their voter’s card and cast their votes. Some platforms are not vulnerable to hacking, which could significantly reduce stress, protect lives, and enable the Nigerian Army to focus on other areas besides securing voters. So, how prepared is Professor Amupitan to embrace full digital voting to avoid wasting time and money on deploying personnel and printing materials for the 2027 elections?”

She expressed her satisfaction with Professor Amupitan’s nomination, despite initially being sceptical due to negative stories about his date of birth and primary education. After reviewing his Curriculum Vitae, she felt reassured about his appointment.

Senate Confirms Amupitan As INEC Chairman

The Senate on Thursday, approved the nomination of Professor Joash Ojo Amupitan as the new Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The confirmation of Amupitan followed a screening session by lawmakers in the Senate Chamber during a Committee of the Whole.

Lawmakers asked many questions during the session, which Amupitan responded to.

After the screening exercise, the nominee was permitted to take a bow and exited the Senate chambers with a promise that the decision of the lawmakers would be conveyed to him.

After the exit of the INEC Chairman-designate and entourage, the Senate Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele moved a motion to restore all floor privileges earlier suspended.

The motion was seconded by the Minority Leader and approved by the lawmakers when it was put to voice vote.

Thereafter Senate President Akpabio approved nomination of Amupitan for appointment as the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) when it was put to voice vote.

“The nomination of Joash Ojo Amupitan for appointment as the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission is hereby confirmed,” Akpabio said.
