Pep Guardiola’s side had to do it the hard way, coming from a goal down on enemy territory, to complete a comeback and get maximum points. The result moved City to within six points of Arsenal, who thrashed Sunderland 3-0 on Saturday.

If it wasn’t clear already, it is becoming increasingly apparent that every game will now be hotly contested as Arsenal look to win their first trophy since 2024 while City look to reclaim the title they lost to Liverpool last season. Herein, we compare the next five games both sides have with their Etihad meeting in April on the horizon.

First up will be this week, when Arsenal travel away to play Brentford while Manchester City play Fulham at home. The Gunners won the reverse fixture while City beat Fulham 5-4 in a thriller at Craven Cottage. Afterwards, the league will take a break for the FA Cup, where Arsenal will play Wigan while City play Salford, giving both managers a chance to rotate their squads.

After the FA Cup, Arsenal will travel to bottom-placed club Wolves, a club they struggled to beat at the Emirates, while their rivals play Newcastle United at home. After Molineux, Arsenal will have back-to-back crucial London derbies, starting with a short trip to play Tottenham Hotspur before Chelsea come visiting at the Emirates.

During this time frame, Guardiola’s Sky Blues will have relegation-threatened clubs, Leeds United (A) and Nottingham Forrest (H). There is no doubt that the Gunners’ biggest test will be the London derbies, and should they come through unscathed, it will put them in a prime position for March fixtures.

“We still have to win so many games to achieve what we want. So, there’s no focus on that; that’s something else. We’ve done our job now, we’ve had what we have to do, so I assess that, try to improve it and get ready for Brentford,” said Arteta after beating Sunderland via the club’s website.

Tension In Abuja Over Electronic Transmission Result

A prominent figure of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Peter Obi, has joined ongoing protests at the National Assembly in Abuja over the rejection of mandatory electronic transmission of election results by the Senate. According to DAILY POST reports that protesters on Monday morning stormed the National Assembly to protest the action taken by the Senate.

Speaking at the protest ground, Obi faulted the Senate’s position on the electronic transmission of election results, urging lawmakers to allow the electoral process to proceed without restrictions. Obi said, “Allow the election to go through the normal process. Whatever the outcome is, we will accept it. Why introduce confusion after the process?”

The protest, tagged ‘Occupy National Assembly’, saw Nigerian youths and pro-democracy activists converging at the entrance of the National Assembly to express opposition to the Senate’s rejection of e-transmission of election results.

Woman Returned From Abroad After 7 Years To Claim 3 Months Old Abandoned Baby

woman’s emotional appeal to regain custody of her daughter has sparked intense debate on social media, following revelations about her decision to abandon the child years ago to travel abroad.

According to a viral account circulating online, the woman admitted she got married when she wasn’t ready and became pregnant within three months.

She later gave birth to a baby girl. Unknown to her husband and family at the time, she was secretly processing travel documents to relocate to Canada while still living in her matrimonial home.

Her visa was eventually approved, but the arrangement required her to travel alone. At that point, her baby was reportedly just three months old.

The woman went ahead with the journey, leaving the infant behind without informing her husband or relatives. It was gathered that no one in her family was aware she had travelled out of Nigeria.

Years later, the woman is said to be financially stable and doing well in Canada. In January, she returned to Nigeria with the intention of reconnecting with her daughter, who is now seven years old.

However, the child’s father allegedly refused to grant her access to the girl.

The situation reportedly escalated when the woman discovered that her husband had remarried without her consent and had also hidden the child from her.

Efforts to seek help from her own family were unsuccessful, as they allegedly declined to intervene

Now, the woman is said to be exploring legal options to reclaim custody of her daughter, with plans to take the child back to Canada.

Since her return to Nigeria, she has reportedly been unable to see or speak with the child.

The case has divided public opinion online. While some sympathised with her desire to reconnect with her daughter, others strongly criticised her actions.

One social media user openly supported the husband’s decision, accusing the woman of selfishness and abandonment.

“A baby you left at three months can also be left again,” the commenter wrote, arguing that the woman used her marriage to achieve her travel goals and failed in her responsibilities as a mother.
