• Victor Osimhen targeting history with Galatasaray

Victor Osimhen will be looking to make history by becoming Galatasaray’s highest goal scorer in a single UEFA Champions League campaign when the Yellow and Reds take on Juventus in their playoff tie.

Osimhen has scored six goals in six outings in the competition for Okan Buruk’s side this season.

The Nigeria international is two goals behind Burak Yilmaz, who holds the record with eight goals from nine games during the 2012/13 season.

The 27-year-old has also registered nine goals in 16 league outings this term.

Galatasaray will host Juventus in the first leg at the RAMs Park on Tuesday.

The reverse fixture is slated for Turin next week Wednesday.

Former England manager, Fabio Capello has named three football icons he feels are better than Al-Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo.

According to Capello, the likes of Lionel Messi, Diego Maradona, and Ronaldo Nazario are above the level of Ronaldo.

The former Real Madrid coach believes the Portugal captain cannot be compared to the trio because of their genius ability, which he [Ronaldo] lacks.

Speaking recently on Egyptian outlet ON Sport’s Hat-trick program, Capello said: “Cristiano [Ronaldo] is a great goalscorer and an incredible athlete, but he doesn’t have the genius of Messi, Maradona or Ronaldo Nazario.

“That genius that the others possessed is absent in Cristiano. He can’t be compared to those three.”

Ronaldo, meanwhile, had labelled himself as the greatest footballer of all time. The 41-year-old has netted 961 career goals so far.

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has hinted that their Premier League clash against Arsenal could decide the title winner of 2025-2026 English Premier League.

Guardiola was speaking after his team fought from a goal down to defeat Liverpool 2-1 on Sunday. The result ensured that City maintains the six-point gap between themselves and the Gunners.

Nwabali announced his departure from the South African club this week.
