The Nigeria International Taiwo Awoniyi has blamed poor finishing as the reason for the defeat to Hull City.
Hull City lost to the Tigers at home, the Coventry Building Society Arena on Saturday with a lone goal scored in the 82 minutes of the match by Liam Millar.
Taiwo Awoniyi and his team created many chances during the game but they were denied by the Hull City goalkeeper, Konstantinos Tzolakis and he even saved Awoniyi from close range in the first half.
In his response after the match, Taiwo Awoniyi said that the team needed to improve on their finishing. He further said that “We did quite good in terms of having the ball; unfortunately, they had that great counter-attack and they took their chance”. It is on us to take our chances as well,” the striker told Coventry media.
